Prairie View resident, Alan D. Whitney, passed away June 22, 2023 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg at the age of 67.  He was born November 15, 1955 in Hebron, NE, the son of Charles & Ruth (Beanblossom) Whitney.

Survivors include his wife Becky of the home; son Chris Whitney & daughter Jessica Brackney of Prairie View; his mother, Ruth Jones of Clovis, NM; brother, Marvin of Kensington; sisters: Shirley Van Loenen of Prairie View, Mary Lutz of Sulphur Springs, TX & Marcia Tinkle of Clovis, NM & 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Lee Bennight officiating.  Burial will follow in the Prairie View Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 9:00 Sunday & 9:00 to 9:00 Monday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prairie View Community Center.
