IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Angela D.
Schick
May 17, 1973 – July 31, 2022
Angela D. Schick, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, NE, at the age 49. She was born in Norton, KS on May 17, 1973, to Alta Marie (Sansom) Griffin and the late Alvin Griffin.
Angie was baptized and confirmed in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Logan. She graduated from Logan High School in 1991. Angie married the love of her life, Brian Schick, on December 06, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was a waitress throughout high school and even after high school at several of the local restaurants. She went on to work for Logan Grain, before starting her career at Nex-Tech.
Angie was a dedicated employee of Nex-Tech for 22 years. Her title was Customer Sales Specialist, and that she was, but she was so much more. Since 2011, Angie trained 94 Customer Sales staff. Angie was the "go-to" person for everything Customer Sales, her co-workers reached out daily and she was always there to help them with a smile. Angie was a wealth of information; her team referred to her as the "Knowledge Base Queen." She was the first to volunteer for any project, work, or fun. Her presence in the office was contagious; the smile, the laughs, and the hugs.
Beyond her employment, Angie was a devoted wife and loyal friend. Wishing people a "Good Morning" was one of her favorite things to do. She sent out numerous text messages to family, friends, and colleagues every morning, wishing them a great start to their day. She was rarely seen without a smile on her face. She was a hard worker and put forth extra effort in everything that she did. She was a dedicated farm hand and was in charge of selecting the herd sires for their cattle herd. Calving season was one of her favorite times of the year. Gardening and harvesting produce brought her joy and she enjoyed sharing the fruits of the labor. Her mom always taught her to stand on her own two feet, and that she did. If she had something say something to say, you were going to know it. She always arrived early and was very organized and tidy. Hobbies included tractor shows, road tripping, attending family celebrations, and visiting a casino if she got the chance. Angie loved playing cards and played poker with the best of them. One of her favorite prizes was a shotgun that she won playing Texas Hold 'Em at a Duck's Unlimited poker tournament. Hobbies aside, she treasured time spent with family and friends, trips to visit friends were something that Angie looked forward to. She was outgoing and adventurous and loved people. She could sit and people-watch for hours, something she and her mom both enjoyed to pass the time.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Alta and Alvin Griffin, and her siblings: Brenda, Kenneth, Gwendolyn, Kevin, and Barbara Griffin.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Schick of Densmore, KS, and sisters Teresa Griffin of Logan, KS and Debra Hogan and husband Justin of Densmore, KS, aunts Lois Archer and husband Doyle, Mariam Sansom, uncles Leland Griffin and wife Janet, Darrell Griffin and wife Norma, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
