Obituary
Phillipsburg resident, Anita Winn, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS at the age of 63.
Anita was born in Colby, KS on May 2, 1946 to Cleatis L. and Freda W. (Whitney) Byfield.
She was united in marriage to Buster D. Winn on March 2, 1990 in Phillipsburg, Kansas. Other survivors include step-son, Bret Derr & wife, Michelle of Phillipsburg; stepdaughter, Natalie Flinn of Everett, WA; sister, Ellen Bell of Fresno, CA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jan Bailey.
Anita was a homemaker and looked forward to working in the yard each spring. She loved animals, cooking, and enjoyed reading. Working with the public is what made Anita the happiest. She loved cooking and waiting on customers as the proprietor of Royal Lanes and the Cobblestone Restaurant.
Anita will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Cremation was planned. Memorial services were held Sat., March 6, at 11:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Hays Humane Society.
