Obituary

Phillipsburg resident Ardith Horn passed away early Friday morning at Hays Medical Center, Hays KS at the age of 75.

Ardith was born July 8, 1941 in Oxford, NE to Ida (Bickett) and Warren Rogers. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School with the class of 1959 and was united in marriage on June 1, 1959 to Robert Sidney Horn. To this marriage three sons: Brent O., Brad J., Robert E., and one daughter, Valeri D. were born.
Ardith was a homemaker and loved her family above all else. She was the heart of the home and always made others feel comfortable and welcome. In addition to raising her own family, numerous other children and young adults were known to live in the Horn home for periods of time, where they were always welcome with open arms.
Ardith always looked forward to family gatherings and having her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren around her.
Ardith had a lifelong love of music. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing hymns. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, croqueting, crafting, collecting, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Club and the Methodist Church. She was also a member of Card Club where she enjoyed many laughs with her friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Valeri Tuley of Topeka, KS and sons Brad Horn and wife Kelly of Hays, KS and Robert E. Horn and wife Tricia of Omaha, NE. Granddaughter Heather Keener and great grandson Brayden Arnold of Topeka, KS; grandson Zachary Horn and Sidnee with great grandson Hudson Horn of Topeka, KS; grandson Caleb Horn of Hays, KS; grandson Brody Horn and granddaughter Kaylee Horn both of Lawrence, KS; grandson Jackson Horn and granddaughter Sydney Horn of Omaha, NE.
Ardith was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Ida Rogers; father and mother in law Earl and Leota Horn; son Brent and son in law Charlie Tuley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m. in the United Methodist Church with Rev. Lew VanDerWege officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 9:00 Sunday and Monday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
