Barbara Ann Pfannenstiel was born September 29, 1952 in Phillipsburg, Kansas, the youngest daughter of Leonard and Maxine (Lemon) Elliott. She passed away on September 15, 2018 at her home in Phillipsburg at the age of 65.
She graduated from Phillipsburg High School with the class of 1970 and attended NCK Technical College in Beloit, Kansas, receiving a degree in Business Education.
Barbara spent most of her life in the Phillipsburg area, working as an office secretary. Her greatest love was working in the school systems as a Para-educator. Helping children was a great blessing to her.
On November 2, 2002, Barbara married Greg Pfannenstiel in Norton, KS. She was a member of the First Church of God in Norton for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. In later years she attended the Church of God in Phillipsburg. Her faith in God was important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard & Maxine and an infant son.
Barbara is survived by her husband Greg of the home; her sister, Brenda McClure and Husband Kenneth of Stockton, KS; her brother, William Elliott of Glade, KS; 4 stepchildren: Sabrina Bader & husband Keith of Hill City, KS, Sarah Trogdon & husband Josh of Perry, KS, Brandon Pfannenstiel & wife Ashley of Oceanside, CA, Shane Pfannenstiel & wife Kayla of Kansas City, KS; 5 grandchildren: Christine & Chase Holzmeister, Genevieve Trogdon, Sofia & Kaden Pfannenstiel & 1 great grandson Ben.
She is also survived by her nieces & nephews: Jo-Anne McClure of Salina, KS, Jeff (Julie) and Bailey McClure of McPherson, KS, Angela (Jim) Thompson of Phillipsburg, KS and Derek Elliott and son Carson of Russell, KS.
Funeral services will be held Wed. Sept. 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Church of God with Pastor Monte Brunner officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church of God or the Barbara Ann Pfannenstiel Memorial Fund.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday & 9:00 to 9:00 Tuesday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.
