Betty Ryan, daughter of Everett & Elsie (Walbrecht) Lich, was born April 23, 1926 in York, NE. She passed away on November 12, 2015 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS at the age of 89.

She attended school in North Platte, NE and graduated from North Platte High School.

On June 15, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to Frank Ryan & to this union, two children were born. In 1952, the family moved to Phillipsburg where Betty worked as a telephone operator until 1963 when it was converted to dial.

Betty loved to play cards with her friends & was an excellent cook. She was a member of the SS Philip & James Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank on March 14, 2011 & her sister, Lorene Miller

Betty is survived by her children: Michele Cinalli & husband Joe of Olathe, KS & Jim Ryan & wife Karen of Stuttgart, KS; 7 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her family & friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Nov. 16, at 10:30 a.m. in the SS Philip & James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, with Father Joseph Kieffer officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Mrs. Ryan will lie in-state on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 5 – 9 p.m. and again Sunday, Nov. 15, from noon – 9 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg. The casket will remain closed.
A Rosary & Vigil service will be held Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
