Beverly Jean Morgan, third daughter of the late Fred and Edith (Drew) Gallagher, was born July 24, 1927 in Long Beach, California. She died December 7, 2018 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Beverly graduated from Downey High School in Downey, California and attended college before working in Colorado and Kansas as a homemaker, bookkeeper and for a short time, as a librarian.
Throughout her life she enjoyed reading and gardening. She was also an accomplished seamstress who handcrafted treasured quilts for all of her family members.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Morgan; her sisters, Maxine and Peggy; and her brother, Bill.
Survivors include her two children, Janet and husband, Mark Silsby, of Minneapolis, Minnesota and David and wife, Cheryl Morgan of Hays, Kansas. She has three grandchildren: Nick, wife Jessica Morgan and daughter, Annie of Hays, Kansas; Andrew, wife Mya Morgan, and children, Valorie, Jazmine, Destiny, Draiven, Kole, Madison and grandchild, Prudence of Hays, Kansas; and Kaitlin, husband Uriah Williams and children, Conner, Noah, and Addison of Kansas City, Kansas. Other survivors include her brother Fred and wife, Cindy Gallagher of Buckeye, Arizona, and two nieces, Kelly and husband, Pete Rucker of Needles, California, and Cindy, husband James Wong and daughter, Katie of San Marino, California.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor LeRoy Herder officiating. Burial will follow in the Iowa Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Thursday at the funeral home.
