Obituary

Billy Francis Still, son of George R. and Myrtle (Roach) Still, was born August 15, 1936 in the family home south of Kirwin, Kansas near his grandparent's homestead.
Bill attended school in Kirwin and graduated with the high school class of 1954.
On January 12, 1958, he was united in marriage to Della Frances Wilson in the Kirwin Methodist Church and to this union two children were born: Sheri Frances and Brent Francis. Bill and Della made their home on the farm southeast of Phillipsburg, Kansas for 47 years, where Bill farmed and ranched until his retirement.
He was a member of the Phillipsburg United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, and served on the Board of Directors for the Phillips County Farm Bureau.
Bill loved his family more than anything. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was kindhearted and caring and loved to tease. He loved talking with people, listening to people, and sharing stories. He enjoyed family vacations, playing pitch, studying genealogy, and watching KU basketball.
In May, 2005, Bill & Della moved from the farm into Phillipsburg. The couple enjoyed spending their winters together in Texas where it was a little warmer. Bill loved the Christmas season and was blessed to be home with his family again this year.
He accepted his illness and whatever life threw at him without complaint. Bill passed away at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg on December 27, 2013.
He was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Marie and Linda, and his parents, George and Myrtle.
Survivors include his wife, Della, of the home in Phillipsburg; daughter, Sheri & husband, David Corrick, of Wichita, KS; son, Brent Still & wife, Vesta Jo, of Phillipsburg; grandchildren, William and Kate Still; and brother, Robert Still & wife, Betty, of Kirwin, KS.
Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tues. Dec.31 at 2:00 p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Sunday and 9:00 to 9:00 Monday at the funeral home.
