Obituary

Brenda Ifland was born December 20, 1955 in Alton, Illinois to Reverend Raymond and Reverend Joyce (Arnold) Daniels. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends November 1, 2024 at Hays Medical Center. Brenda graduated in 1974 from Leadwood (West County) High School. Mrs. Ifland began her work career in McGehee, Arkansas working for First National Bank. She graduated from Colby College Nursing Program in 1986. At the time of her death she had retired from nursing.

Brenda married Terry Gertiser February of 1975. To this union a daughter, Jennifer Diane (Gertiser) Weeks, was born. On February 3, 1991 she married the love of her life, Brad Ifland. Joining the family was Danielle (Ifland) Bohl and Sena (Ifland) Bailey.

Brenda enjoyed camping with Brad, family, friends, and Sparky; as well as, hosting family meals and get-togethers. Brenda will be remembered for her amazing talent of playing the piano by ear. She enjoyed playing the organ with Rita and Debbie. She will be remembered for her love of the Gaither gospel music, and her love of all things bling. She spent many years providing wedding planning and decorating services. She had a talent for making beautiful flower arrangements. Throughout her life, Brenda touched many; from caring for others throughout her nursing career to those that cared for her the last few years of her life. She enjoyed planning events for the Redbud residents and staff and was always working on some way to spruce things up. Brenda enjoyed showing others how much she cared and appreciated them by showering them with gifts or tokens of appreciation. She loved to visit with friends and family.

Survivors include husband Brad Ifland, children Jennifer (Kevin) Weeks of Lincoln, Nebraska, Danielle (Henry) Bohl of Phillipsburg, Sena (Chris) Bailey of Norton, Kansas, 8 grandchildren: Jacob Elson, Cameron Bohl, Jillian Bohl, Louis Bohl, Cooper Bohl, Chuck Bailey, Paris (Bailey) Williams and Keegan Bailey, great-grandchildren Augustus and Haven Williams, Killian Bailey, brother William T. Brooks, Jr. and wife Joann, cousins, aunts, and special friends Tyna Stoutimore and Joyce Bretton. She was preceded in death by her parents Reverend Ray and Reverend Joyce Arnold Daniels, cousins Jeffrey Arnold and Dr. Stacy Barton.

Funeral services are planned for Wednesday November 6 at 2:00 pm at the Gaylord Church of the Nazarene with Pastor's Rod Sutter and Jay Brandon officiating.  Services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.  Interment will follow at the Gaylord Cemetery.

Mrs. Ifland will lie in state from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; with the family receiving friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening for visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Gaylord Church of the Nazarene or Redbud Village of Plainville.
