Carol Haberman, age 66, of Hays, Kansas passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at her home. She was born January 19, 1954 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Robert Gene and Vada Marie (Erickson) McDonald, and grew up in Logan, where she attended school graduating in 1972. Carol married Douglas Scott Haberman on August 28, 1990 in Hays, and recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary together.
Carol enjoyed camping, traveling, and was an avid reader. Carol was a true "people person", delighting in spending time with family and literally dozens of friends. She had an ability of making everyone feel welcome; a truly natural gift of hospitality. Her nieces and nephews treasure time spent with Aunt Carol. She found a special place in every heart that crossed her path. Her warm smile and gentle spirit endeared her to all.
Carol was a dedicated supporter of the United Way, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for children.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas of Hays; two brothers: Linn (Pam) McDonald of Logan, Jim McDonald of Logan; one sister: Mary (Ron) Dole of Hill City, together with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister in law Crystal McDonald, one niece and one nephew.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church, Logan. The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel FaceBook Page . Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 25, 2020 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Logan Funeral Home.
