Carolyn Sue Foskuhl, daughter of Bobby E. and Charlotte Sue (Posson) Roberts was born on September 22, 1962 in Norton, KS and passed away unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Hospital on Tuesday, January 26, 2022 at the age of 59.
Carolyn attended school in Norton, quitting high school early but never giving up and eventually earned her GED in 2001. Carolyn worked many years as a caretaker and CMA at the Logan Manor. After a back injury forced her to leave healthcare Carolyn prepared taxes at H&R Block and most recently was a manager at Sonic.
Carolyn had two children from her first marriage, who gave her 8 grandchildren, who were the light of her life. On July 29, 2008 Carolyn was united in marriage to her love, Jerry Foskuhl in Las Vegas, Nevada. From that union she gained a step-daughter and 3 grandchildren.
Carolyn was a Girl Scout leader for many years, playing a part in many young girls' lives. She was even a "den mom" for the Boy Scout troop when they needed volunteers. She rarely missed her kids events and usually had a car full of extra friends.
Carolyn attended the Christian Church as a young girl but found God again through the NW Kansas Women's Encounter which she attended in February 2020.
Carolyn enjoyed crafting, her pets and spending time with friends and family. She was a hard worker, devoted employee, and wonderful friend to many.
Survivors include her daughter- Jamie (JR) McCreery, Phillipsburg, Kansas; son- Justin Wilhite, Winfield, KS; brother- Steve (Bubba) Roberts, Norton, KS; step-daughter- Erica Smith, Tulsa, OK; mother-in-law- Joyce Day, Tulsa, OK. Grandchildren- Andrew & Carsen Meitl and Kaitlyn McCreery, Phillipsburg, KS; Andrew, Brenden, Cayden, Dylan Wilhite, Hastings, NE; Gauge Paxton, Norton, KS; Emma and Alyssa Smith, Tulsa, OK; nephews- Jerrod and Aaron Roberts, Durango, Colorado; along with many other friends and relatives.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband- Jerry Foskuhl; parents- Bobby and Charlotte Roberts; granddaughter- Alexis Smith; brother- Randy Roberts; paternal grandparents- Floyd and Lizzie Roberts; maternal grandparents Earl and Mary Posson and other relatives and friends.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the Norton Christian Church, Norton, with Pastor Nate Hagen officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Inurnment will be in the Norton Cemetery.
