Obituary
Phillipsburg resident, Caryl A. Schukman, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS at the age of 94.
She was born in Norton County, KS on Nov. 2, 1921, the daughter of Clay & Fay (Underwood) Davis. Her husband, L.J. "Bud" Schukman, and sons, Jay and Gail Dee, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Alan, of Crystal River, FL; her daughters, Lynette Hammond, of Long Island, KS and Valette Wolf, of Gardner, KS; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Reva Rogers, of Springfield, MO.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Long Island United Methodist Church, Long Island, KS, with Pastor Ted Stapleton officiating. Private family burial will be held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Almena, KS.
Mrs. Schukman will lie in-state at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, on Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 5 - 9 p.m. and again Thursday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Phillips County Retirement Center or the Long Island United Methodist Church
