Phillipsburg resident Cory Allen Philby passed away on December 4th 2024, peacefully at his home in Phillipsburg Kansas at the age of 28.

Cory was born June 27, 1996 in Holdrege Nebraska. Cory attended school in Alma, Nebraska, graduating with the class of 2015. He married Elizabeth Grieve on August 20, 2022 at the Community Church of God in Phillipsburg. They were blessed with a daughter Stella Kay. Cory was a loving husband and father. His greatest joy was spending time watching movies and going fishing with Elizabeth and Stella.

Cory was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Sonny and Helen Rhoades from Orleans Nebraska.

Cory is survived by his wife Elizabeth and daughter Stella, his parents Curtis and Angela Craig, sister Kayla Capleton and husband Dylan, brothers Kane Craig and girlfriend Sara, Josh Craig and wife Tara with their girls, Ty Craig and wife Michelle and their children, great grandmother Virginia Gaines and grandparents Steve and Teresa Weak, his uncle Tracy Weak and wife Tashia along with their children, and Cory's childhood buddies, Trenton, Tyler, and Taylor.
Cory will be sadly missed by a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.

A funeral service for Cory Philby will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the Community Church of God, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, with Pastor Scott Eller officiating. Burial will follow at the Orleans Township Cemetery in Orleans, Nebraska.

Cory will lie in state on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends for visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg, Kansas.
