Dale L. Henry, son of Walter J. Henry and Eva Gertrude Shoopman, was born on February 4 ^th , 1938, in Greensburg, Indiana. He passed away on September 28 ^th , 2020, at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS, at the age of 82.

He worked in a factory in Columbus, Indiana before joining the service in "56" to 1958. While in the military, he was stationed in Nancy, France for a bit.

When he returned to Indiana, he met Geraldine (Jerry) Edwards and they were married on July 19 ^th , 1959, in Paris Crossing, Indiana. To their union, 4 daughters were born: Peggy, Nancy, Vicky, and Jeannette.

Dale spent many years working at Royal Brand/Tamko when they came to Kansas. They later moved to Montana where Dale worked as a security guard at the Air Force base in Great Falls, Montana. Dale and Jerry would later divorce in 1978, but remained good friends. He moved back to Kansas about 5 years after Jerry and the girls came back.   He worked as a janitor in the nursing home in Smith Center, Kansas.

He later moved to Red Cloud, Nebraska doing the same job as in Smith Center. A short time later, he came back to Kansas and stayed with his in laws for a bit.

In the late 80's, early 90's, he moved back to Phillipsburg and became the main care taker for his sister Patricia until her passing.

Dale's hobbies were collecting eagles, belt buckles, and ball caps (not hats as he would say, LOL!) He enjoyed watching NASCAR and old western shows.

He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; 2 sisters, Nellie and Pat; an ex-wife, Jerry; his grandson Eric; 2 son in laws, Kevin and Joe; and a niece, Teresa.

Survivors are Peggy Littrell and husband Gary of Phillipsburg, Vicky Lind and husband Steve of Phillipsburg, Jeannette Patterson of Phillipsburg, Nancy Muck and husband Terry of Gaylord, KS.

7 Grandkids; Curtis Littrell, Rebecca Dicks, Patrick Patterson, Cynthia Patterson, Felishia Smith, Michaela Catalena, and Tiffany Garcia.

15 Great Grandkids; Landen Davis, Kevin Russell, Brook McAvoy; Hayden, Liam, and Brinley Littrell; Lydia and Haylee Patterson; Carter, Kollin, and Mikayla Patterson; Emmitt, Lea, and Megan Smith; Clara Catalena, and 2 more on the way!

2 Brothers; Jessie Henry and wife Kay, Alvin Henry and wife Virginia. Sister in laws; Rita Martin, Bonnie Edwards and husband John, and Linda Edwards and husband Ike, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dale never knew a stranger and always had a joke to tell. He will be dearly missed by many.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.  Services will be streamed live on Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook Page .  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Mr. Henry will lie in state from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
