Phillipsburg resident, David O. Baumgartner was born on January 17, 1950 in Russell, KS and passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at the Kansas Soldiers' Home at Fort Dodge, KS.  He was 72.

Survivors include his wife Jackie of Phillipsburg; son James Baumgartner and wife Amber of Las Vegas, NV; daughters Mandra Imm of Phillipsburg and Meg Rau and husband Jeff of Long Beach, CA; brothers Tony Clements and Wes Clements of Denver, CO; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 in the First Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastors Dave Hutson and Joel Hiesterman officiating. The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page .  Burial with Military Honors by the United States Navy will take place following the service at 2:00 p.m. in the Plainville Cemetery, Plainville, KS.

Mr. Baumgartner will lie in state from Noon until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for visitation at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or First Lutheran Church.
