David Stanley Isernhagen, oldest son of Paul William & Elsie Phyllis (Munyon) Isernhagen, was born December 11, 1940 in Agra, Kansas and passed away December 3, 2013 in Phillipsburg, Kansas at the age of 72.

He grew up in Agra, Kansas with two younger brothers, Don and Doug, and graduated from Agra High School in 1958. He then attended Brown-Mackie College in Salina, Kansas, graduating in 1960.

In February, 1960, he married Mary Lou Molzahn. Three daughters were born to this union: Suzanne, Mary Anne and Lisa. The couple divorced in 1985.

From 1960 – 1968 David managed the Hardman Lumber Yard in Agra and then worked at the Phillipsburg Coop Refinery for two years. He began his career as an insurance agent with American Family Insurance in 1970 and finally retired in October, 2010. He earned many awards and trips over that 40-year span, including his recognition as American Family's Diamond Agent of the year. He also remained an independent insurance agent with Farmers Mutual and Kansas Mutual Insurance companies until his death.

On June 13, 1987 David was united in marriage to Jill Chestnut. With this union three stepchildren were added to David's family: Jodi, Scotty and Jami.

David's relationship with God and the church began with his confirmation at St. John Lutheran Church in Kensington, Kansas in 1955. He later became a faithful and active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Phillipsburg, Kansas. He was also one of the founding members of the Phillipsburg Kiwanis Club, serving for many years until his retirement.

In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, yard work, hunting and fishing. He also loved traveling - especially to visit his children and grandchildren.

His parents, Paul & Elsie, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Jill, of the home in Agra; daughters, Suzanne (Terry) Johnson of Lawrence, KS, Mary Anne Harper & fiance', Michael Denk, of Lenexa, KS, and Lisa (Chris) McCluer of Overland Park, KS; stepson, Scotty Chestnut of Speed, KS; stepdaughters, Jodi (Mitch) Wilkison of Phillipsburg and Jami (Allen) Reed of Kearney, NE; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren; and his two brothers, Don Isernhagen and Doug (Pam) Isernhagen, both of Phillipsburg, KS.
