Phillipsburg resident, Dennis Ray Lamont, passed away on March 24, 2026, peacefully at home, at the age of 78.

Dennis Ray Lamont was born on July 21, 1947, in Smith Center, Kansas to his parents Cecil Laverne and Carmen Coralee Lamont.

Dennis was united in marriage to Elaine Gail Lamont on July 28, 2016.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Carmen, second wife Lois, third wife Donna, sister Jo Ann Caldwell and husband Curtis, nieces Samantha Caldwell and Raquel Pennington, and great niece Jade Elliott.

Survivors include wife Elaine Lamont of Phillipsburg, Kansas, step daughters Melissa Adams and husband Steven of Almena, Kansas, and Lacey Hansen and husband Joshua of Almena, Kansas, brother Steven Lamont and wife Deb of Kensington, Kansas, sisters Connie Pennington and husband Robert of Downs, Kansas, and Mary Smith of Lyons, Kansas, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service for Dennis Lamont will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Phillipsburg, Kansas. Burial will follow at the Cedar Cemetery, North of Cedar, Kansas.
