Dennis Craig Marsh, son of Howard & Dixie (Ratliff) Marsh, was born April 30, 1951 in Denver, Colorado and passed away February 7, 2015 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 63.
He was raised in Denver and graduated from Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado.
Dennis was united in marriage to LeaAnn Cooper on August 29, 1973 and to this union three children were born: Heather, Libby & Matthew.
He moved his family to Woodston, Kansas in the 1980's and went to work for Schulte Mobile Homes in Plainville, Kansas before going to work at the Co-op where he worked for many years. He then worked for Wilkens Trailers and later Liberty Operations before retiring. He served as a volunteer fireman in Woodston for several years.
Dennis was an avid Denver Broncos fan. He was a long-time collector of coins and Lionel trains. He had a huge train set-up that covered the entire upstairs of their home. In his spare time he loved to hunt and fish; he also enjoyed gardening and had a large pumpkin patch every year.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael.
Survivors include his wife, LeaAnn, of Woodston; his son, Matthew, also of Woodston; two daughters: Heather Smith & husband, Michael, and Libby Kester & husband ,Dean, all of Stockton, KS; six grandchildren: Megan, Sidnee, and Rilee Brown, Tierney Kester, and Destini and Lucious Marsh; and two great -grandchildren, Brylea and Emerick.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb 12 at 10:30 a.m. in the Woodston United Methodist Church with Rev. Les Ellis officiating.
Cremation was chosen. Friends may sign the book from 9:00 to 5:00 Tuesday & Wednesday at the funeral home.
