Donald Henry Tyrrell was born March 23, 1956 in Norton, Kansas, and passed away on April 14, 2014 in Phillipsburg, Kansas, at the age of 58. He was the ninth child born to Roy "Tiny" and Mary (Vahling) Tyrrell.

Don spent his early years in Norton, Kansas, where he attended school until his family moved to Phillipsburg. He finished his education in Phillipsburg, graduating with the high school class of 1974.

Don worked many different jobs throughout his 58 years, spending time in Colorado, Texas, South Dakota and Alabama. He also attended college for a while in Colorado.

He was the father of four sons: Kandan, Christopher, Justin and Jesse, as well as being a grandpa to Cody, Abby, Corrine and Sable.

Don loved to sketch and draw and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Even though he had health and medical issues, he lived his life "one day at a time" and to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

His parents, two brothers, William (Bill) Tyrrell and Robert (Bob) Tyrrell, and a grandchild, Barry Tyrrell, preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his sons: Kandon of Portage, WI, Christopher of Madison, WI and Justin and Jesse, both of Angleton, TX; four grandchildren; three brothers: Richard Tyrrell, Ronald Tyrrell & wife, Dolly, and Thomas Tyrrell & wife, Neila, all of Norton, KS; three sisters: Rita Minshall of Norton, Ruth Lucida & husband, Ed, of Palm Harbor, FL, and Roberta Lively & husband, Ed, of Phillipsburg, KS; one sister-in-law, Linda, of Kearney, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

The family chose cremation. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 28, at 11:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Kirk Kasson officiating.

Friends may sign the book Thursday & Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
