IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna I.
Kats
October 21, 1942 – November 2, 2025
With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Donna Irene Kats, who went to be with her Lord on November 2, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on October 21, 1942, to Orville and Grace (Thompson) Coffin.
Donna married the love of her life, Stanley J. Kats, on October 27, 1961, sharing more than six decades of partnership, love, and family. She is survived by her husband Stanley; her children Debra Herrick (Ed), James Kats (Makayla), and Mark Kats (Anissa); her brother Ronald Coffin; and her cherished grandchildren and extended family who will forever hold her memory close.
A true farm girl at heart, Donna worked beside her husband — milking cows, driving tractor, and managing countless farm chores. She loved harvest season and was famous for her homemade pies, which brought joy to family, friends, and neighbors alike.
Donna helped establish the family trucking company, J&S Trucking Inc., with Stanley and their son James. She proudly served as secretary and treasurer until her retirement in 2019 and also drove truck herself, showing her determination, skill, and hands-on approach to the family business. Her dedication, organization, and work ethic were instrumental to the success of the trucking company.
Donna was known for her assertive nature and spit-fire personality — she spoke her mind, stood up for what she believed in, and fiercely protected her family. Beneath her toughness was deep loyalty, love, and a heart that valued family above all else.
Her legacy of strength, love, and hard-earned wisdom will live on in everyone she touched. Donna will be remembered always and loved forever.
