Donna Lee Robison was born August 12, 1940 at her family home near Stuttgart, KS in Phillips County, the daughter of William H. & Helen A. (Kistner) Bach. She passed away, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Logan Manor in Logan, Ks at the age of 75.
She spent her childhood on the farm until 1953, when due to health reasons; her father moved the family to Stuttgart. Donna attended grade school thought the 8th grade at Stuttgart, then attended High School in Phillipsburg, graduating with the class of 58'. Following graduation she started working at Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Company until September of 62'. In March of 1986, Donna started working part time for The Kansas Agricultural Statistics Service as a NASDA inspector. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting with farmers and spending time in the wheat fields.
She met Roger Robison in 1959, they became engaged on Valentine's Day in 1960, then married May 29, 1960 at the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stuttgart. The young couple moved to an apartment above Miles Furniture in Phillipsburg for 9 months before returning to the farm, where Donna was born and resided for the remainder of her life. With this union, three children were born, 2 sons, Rodney Lee & Ricky Lee, then daughter, Rachelle Lee.
For the next 24 years, she helped Roger on the farm, mainly as the "gopher", and was a housewife and mother. Then, in 86', she began working part-time as an enumerator for Kansas Agriculture Statistics. She continued this position until her death. She enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed attending all of the grandchildren's sporting events.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Roger on May 15, 2015.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Rick & wife Vicki of Norton & Rodney & wife, Tami of Manhattan; 1 daughter, Rachelle Leggett & husband, Mark of Logan; 7 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild & 1 great granddaughter, plus another great granddaughter due February 16'; her sister, Dorothy Hanke & husband, Wayne of Prairie View; brother-in-law, Merwyn Robinson of Ozawkie, KS; 2 sisters-in-law, Wanda Massey of Axtell, NE & Joyce Summers of St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stuttgart with Pastors Lee Bennight & Joel Hiesterman officiating. Burial will follow in the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Robison will lie in state from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and again Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 2nd Street, Phillipsburg, KS 67661.
