Phillipsburg resident, Dustin James Dale Steeley, ("Newbe") passed away August 23, 2010 in Phillips County, Kansas at the age of 33. He was born December 23, 1976 in Modesto, California the son of James Dale Steeley & Suzanne Rose Rule.
He grew to manhood in California, where he came to know Jesus as his Savior and was baptized in Modesto, California. He later moved to Phillipsburg with his wife, Jacqui, to be near his grandparents, Delbert & Emma Jean Beisner.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his friends. He was a carpenter by trade.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Delbert.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqui McDaniel-Steeley of Phillipsburg, Kansas; his mother, Suzanne Rule & husband, Kenny Guy, and his father, Henry VanderWeide, Jr. & wife, Nancy, all of Ripon, California; his grandmother, Emma Jean Beisner of Phillipsburg; two brothers: Henry VanderWeide III & wife, Dawn, and their 3 children, Nathan, Allison & Emily all of Ripon, CA and Travis VanderWeide & wife, Melisa, and their 2 children, Autumn & Danny all of Chickamauga, Georgia.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor David Pugh officiating.
