Eleanor Vonda Wehe, daughter of Edward Frank (Dick) Fix & Ella (Seeger) Fix, was born March 6, 1923 in Speed, Kansas and passed away July 5, 2013 at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg, Kansas at the age of 90.

After graduating from high school Eleanor married William H. McCall (Bill) on January 28, 1942 in Phillipsburg, Kansas. Four children blessed this union: Terry, Shirley, Darlene and Dianna. Bill passed away on July 17, 1970.

On July 11, 1976 Eleanor and Edwin Mueller were married in the St. John Lutheran Church in Kensington, Kansas. Later that year, October 10, 1976, Eleanor was baptized and became a member of that church. Edwin & Eleanor resided in Agra, Kansas for 19 years. Edwin passed away on October 2, 1995.

After her children were grown Eleanor began cooking at the Phillips County Hospital. She retired on February 3, 1998 after eighteen years of dedicated service.

Eleanor married Maynard Wehe on February 14, 1998 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Kensington, where the couple also chose to make their home. After Maynard's death on November 5, 2003, Eleanor stayed in Kensington until May, 2011, when she moved to Phillipsburg to be closer to her family.

Some of Eleanor's favorite pastimes were gardening, crocheting, baking her famous coconut cream pies, making noodles, and tying quilts with the ladies at the St. John Lutheran Church. She was an animal lover at heart and cherished the time spent with her family and her special friend, Elsie Fiene.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Dick & Ella Fix; sisters, Blanche Calhoon & husband, Oscar, and Marjorie VanDerWege & husband, John; infant grandson, Gregory Todd Ewing; and husbands, Bill McCall, Ed Mueller and Maynard Wehe.

Survivors include her children: William Terry McCall & wife, Janet; Shirley Knowles & husband, Steve; Darlene Manz & husband, Leo; and Dianna Reed & husband, Barry; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, Kansas with Pastor Lorna Paulus officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
