Erma Marie (Kaiser) Jansonius, 95, Phillipsburg, KS, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020, at the Colonial Villa Nursing Home in Alma, Neb. Erma was born on October 23, 1924 in rural Phillips County, KS to Herman Henry Paul and Eva (Fink) Kaiser.
Erma was baptized and confirmed at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Stuttgart, KS. She attended Pleasant College country school in rural Phillips County and graduated from Phillipsburg High School.
On March 14, 1942, Erma was united in marriage to Gerrit Jansonius.
Erma was preceded in death by her husband Gerrit, her parents, and her two brothers Erwin and Harold. Survivors include her son Gary and wife Lila of Lahoma, OK; daughter Julie Satter and husband Gary of Topeka, KS; daughter Amy Hanson and husband Robert (Bob) of Lawrence, KS; and son Ronald (Ron) and wife Sheila of Oberlin, KS; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Erma was a member of First Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg.
Erma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, music, and traveling with her husband Gerrit.
Erma will be missed by her family and many friends.
Private family services will be held with burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
The casket will be closed. Friends may sign the book from 9:00 to 9:00 Monday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.
Memorials have been established to the First Lutheran Church or RuralMed Hospice.
