Obituary

Franklin H. Roth was born on August 20, 1948 in Kirwin, Kansas, to Norman and Helen Booth Roth. He passed away September 22, 2017 at the Phillips County Retirement Center, Phillipsburg, KS, at the age of 69.

Frank grew up west of Glade with three brothers Don, Ivan and John. He attended school in Glade and Kirwin. After completeing some high school, Frank enlisted in the Navy where he served as a member of the SeaBees and returned a Vietnam veteran. Upon return from the war, Frank became a truck driver, logging many hours on the road. He had many stories of his adventures while on the road.

Frank was united in marriage to Linda Reese on May 29th, 1992. They made their home in Kirwin, Kansas. They later moved to Agra, Kansas.

He loved spending time with family and friends, especially the grandkids. Frank enjoyed collecting model trains. He and the grandkids spent many hours together designing layouts for the model trains. They occasionally held train shows to show off their hard work at the Long Term Care in Phillipsburg, Kansas. He enjoyed working with his hands as well as sharing his skills as a mechanic and handyman with his grandkids. He adored anytime he got with any of the grandkids or great grandkids.

His parents, Norman and Helen, brother, Don, and nephew, Rufus, preceded him in death.

Frank is survived by wife, Linda, of Agra; Daughter, Holly Reese, of Phillipsburg; Son, Morgan Reese (and wife Angela,) of Salina; Daughter, Darcie Lumpkin; Son, Jay Reese (and wife Talatha,)all of Phillipsburg; Granddaughters, Kylie and Chelsea, Grandsons William, Donovan, and Nathan, of Phillipsburg; Grandson, Devin, of Wichita; Granddaughter, Mackenzie, of Hays; Granddaughter, Madisyn, of Salina; Greatgranddaughters, Kairinthia, of Phillipsburg; Harlynn of Salina; Greatgrandson, Zander, of Hays, and many other close friends and family.

Cremation was planned. A private burial will take place in the Bogart Cemetery, Phillips County, KS.

Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday & Thursday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 2nd Street, Phillipsburg, KS 67661.
