Haven, KS resident, Garold W. Randall, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at his home. He was 76.
He was born November 1, 1943 in Webster, KS the son of Harvey and Iris (Garringer) Randall. Garold served in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic and received his honorable discharge in 1966.
Following his discharge he moved to Phillipsburg and went to work at the CRA Refinery. It was there that he met and married Cathy Sue Davis on June 8, 1968 in Glade, KS. The couple made their home in Phillipsburg and had three children: Alisa, Kaelen and Stephanie.
Later, they moved to Omaha, NE for a short time before moving to Wichita in 1976, where Garold worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Farmland Foods. The family then moved to Haven, KS in 1984.
Garold's hobbies included wood working, yard work, and just tinkering with anything in his garage. He loved to take anything old and refurbish it. After retiring from Farmland Foods, where he worked for over 30 years, he enjoyed buying and selling. He liked to go to auctions and yard sales and find items that could be fixed up and sold.
Garold was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Iris and his wife, Cathy.
Survivors include his son Kaelen (Leah) Randall of Hutchinson, KS; two daughters, Alisa Randall of Hutchinson and Stephanie (Wade) Showalter of Haven; a brother Ronald Randall of Hutchinson; a sister Marilyn Chestnut of Phillipsburg; 5 grandchildren; Aaron (Cara) Randall, Emilee Randall, Kirsten (Joe) Rucker, Cody and Sarah Showalter, 2 great grandchildren, Greyson and Allyson Randall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor LeRoy Herder officiating. The services will be streamed live on Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel FaceBook page. Burial will follow in the Marvin Cemetery, Glade, KS, with military honors conducted by the United States Air Force.
Mr. Randall will lie in state from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday evening, July 30 th , with the family receiving friends that evening from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. for visitation in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 2 nd St., Phillipsburg, KS 67661.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Garold Randall Memorial Fund to be designated later.
