Kirwin, Kansas resident, Gary S. Davis, age 77, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS.

Gary was born August 30, 1945 in Oakland, California the son of Edward Dallas and Grace Ann (Kerch) Davis.

He was a Marine and had served in Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart for his sacrifice.

Upon returning to the states he worked as a general clerk for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad company in Illinois.  Following the railroad he moved to Florida where he worked as a Fishing Mate on a fishing charter boat.

He is survived by two daughters Jodie Timmins of Bel Air, Maryland and Tracy Sipla of Rome, Wisconsin, nieces, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dallas Edward Davis.

Cremation is planned.  Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at WaKeeney, KS.
