Gary was raised on the family farm north of Phillipsburg and attended Phillipsburg schools, graduating in 1976. He worked at various jobs over the years including at Lumpkins IGA grocery store, Olliff-Boeve Funeral Home, mowed lawns, and more recently worked at The Advocate.
He faithfully attended the Community Church of God. He rode his bicycle and/or walked all over town visiting with friends. Gary never met a stranger and had a way of being able to strike up a conversation with most anyone. He loved bowling on a league, playing cards, and was an avid domino player being able to add those numbers so fast in his head and he rarely lost a game to his brother or sister. He had a knack for remembering names, birthdays and anniversaries. Gary enjoyed watching RFD TV, listening to gospel music, and attending local sporting events. In years past he volunteered at the rodeo passing out programs.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Anita Niederhaus, and his nephew Scott Niederhaus.
He is survived by his brother Ron Morrison and wife Beverly of Phillipsburg, his sister Jolinda Miller and husband David of Lakewood, CO, his brother-in-law Jerry Niederhaus of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
