Gary W. Steffens passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 18, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 76.

Gary was born on May 21, 1950, to Ernest and Mary Ellen (Timmings) Steffens in Lexington, MO. On October 12, 1984, Gary married Rhonda Allbright, blending their family to include sons Dusty and Matt, and daughters Jenny, Carrie, and Jessica. He retired after 29 dedicated years as the plant manager at Mineral Right.

Anyone who knew Gary knew his ability to bring a smile to anyone's face with his quick witty comments, spunky attitude and pure enthusiasm about life and everyone he shared it with, He could talk your ear off for hours, whether it was something you needed guidance on, his wild stories no one knows were true or not, or just reminiscing about old times or big plans for the future. And if you ever needed a project done, planned out , or executed to perfection, you'd call Gary, the jack of all trades, everyone's friendly neighbor, and helping hand. He was an extremely thoughtful man, always thinking of ways he could do better and be better for the people around him, always finding ways to help, making awesome inventions and thoughtful gifts for his wife, kids and grandkids. Gary was a man who had to keep his hands and mind busy or he just might go bonkers. Most of the days and nights, you could find him in his garage, which is perfectly decorated and crafted to his personality, either devising a plan for his next project, working on said project, talking someone's ear off, or napping in his recliner...but never without a cigarette.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, and daughter, Jessica Allbright of the home; his brother Keith (Kathy) Steffens; his sister-in-law Sharon Steffens; his sons, Dusty and Matt; his daughters, Jenny Delcamp and Carrie (Curtis) Swarts; as well as 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Ellen; his stepfather, Bill; his sister, Mary Beth; and his brother, Dennis.
