Kirwin resident, Gilford Lee Woods, passed away on January 13, 2023, at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, Kansas, at the age of 82.

Gilford was born on December 29, 1940 in Great Bend, Kansas, son of Ovid Lee and Hildred Verna (Pedigo) Woods.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ovid and Hildred Woods, and his brothers Gayle and Ovid "Buddy" Woods.

Gilford was survived by his daughters Gayla Spitz of Weatherford, Texas, and Karla Woods of Oklahoma, son Christopher Woods and wife Tanya of Kirwin, and sisters JoEtta Hickman and husband Jerry of Petoskey, Michigan, and Verna Victory of Pratt, Kansas.

Cremation was planned.

Services will be at a later date.
