Obituary

Greta Beth (Tibbetts) Fletchall passed from this life, to her eternal home while residing at Andbe Home, Norton. She went to be with the lord on August 1, 2020 at 93 years of age.

Beth was born, May 18, 1927 on the family farm near Densmore, KS to Earl Adonis and Nola (Stevens) Tibbetts, and her older brother, Merlin.
In August, 1935, due to the change in weather, and the difficulty in farming, Mr. Tibbetts moved his family to Sunnyside, Washington after receiving a call from a Christian couple, formerly of Kansas, that promised him employment. Then, in August, 1938, as the weather had changed in Kansas, the family, Beth, her sister and three brothers, returned to Densmore, where they purchased their second farm.

Beth's first job was at the Norton County Court House. She worked there her Junior and Senior years in High School to help with her College expenses. Beth attended Central (Free Methodist) College in McPherson, KS, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts Degree.

Beth accepted employment with the State of Kansas Highway Dept., Norton. She retired from the Highway Department after 34 years. Welcoming a couple of years of non-employment, she baked cookies for the Methodist Church activities and enjoyed the Ladies Club. She then went to work at the State Hospital, East of Norton, until the Correctional Facility replaced the hospital.
Beth and Larry Fletchall were united in marriage on February 14, 1973 in McCook, NE.

Beth was an accomplished pianist, which describes Beth's character as she always finished what she started. She had a beautiful Alto voice, performing different times at her local Free Methodist Church. Beth also accompanied her two younger sisters as they sang duets at several events in Densmore.

Beth's pastimes consisted of placing Bible verses, and then later dried flowers and tree leaves into photo frames. This made her happy to share with family and friends.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Larry on October 2, 2019, her parents Nola and Earl, two sisters Jane and Jewel, three brothers Merlin, Norman and Benton, three nieces, three nephews and Larry's parents Clyde and Phyllis.
Survivors include a sister Anita Dawn Bevill and brother Merril Lane Tibbetts, both of Norton; two sister's-in-law Ingeborg Tibbetts of Derby, KS and Reva Tibbetts of Oregon; many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters of her husband.

Graveside services honoring both, Beth and Larry, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in the Norton Cemetery, Norton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Living Hope Fellowship.
