Phillips County resident, Ida M. Carpenter passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Phillips County Hospital at the age of 90 years.
Ida was born August 17, 1919 in Phillips County, Kansas the daughter of Fred & Anna (Hofaker) Schoeller.
She was united in marriage to James E. Carpenter on October 3, 1936 in Lacrosse, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2006.
Others preceding her in death include her parents; her daughter, Ann Margaret Schultz; and a great-granddaughter, Tish Budig.
Survivors include a son, James Henry Carpenter & wife, Grace of Weston, Florida; a daughter, Helen Sue Thomas & husband, Tom of Emporia, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 15th, 2010 in the United Methodist Church, Phillipsburg, with Rev. Phillip Morris officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
