Obituary

Jeanette Elizabeth (Taylor) Molzahn, daughter of Robert & Elizabeth (Lohmann) Taylor,
was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 11, 1946 and passed away October 31, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska at the age of 65.

She attended schools in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from South High School in 1964. After growing up in Omaha, she also lived in Carter Lake, Iowa, rural Naponee, Nebraska and finally Agra, Kansas, where she resided until her death.

Jeanette's desire to help others inspired her to train in the field of nursing. She worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide for 25 years, caring for geriatric patients at Prairie Haven Nursing Home in Kensington, Kansas.

In addition to her career as a CNA, she also raised three children: daughters, Kelly and Kristine and son, Kynn. Jeanette was a dedicated and loving Mom who taught her children to be strong, caring and independent, just as she was.

She was blessed with nine grandchildren and she treasured every one. Watching her grandkids play sports and attending their school activities were highlights of her life.
She also enjoyed cooking her "famous" spaghetti & meatballs for the whole crew at family gatherings and on special occasions.

When the Nebraska Cornhuskers were playing football, you could find her in front of the TV; she was a huge fan! She also adored her cat, Pookie, who was her constant companion for 16 years.

Jeanette was a very special mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be deeply missed by her children & grandchildren, and all those who knew and loved her.

Her parents, Robert & Elizabeth Taylor; sisters, Patricia Taylor and Betty Sheets; and brother, Bob Taylor, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children: Kynn Molzahn & wife, Kim, of Naponee, NE; Kristine Manz & husband, Kevin, of Stuttgart, KS; and Kelly Bretton & husband, Scott, of Agra, KS; her brother, Bud Taylor of Omaha, NE; her grandchildren: Chris Van Kooten, Carmen and Cash Manz, Dylan and Kassie Bretton; Ayden, Alek, Ryan and Reese Molzahn; along with several nieces & nephews, and her lifelong friend, Dawn.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 3 at 10:30 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Becky Saddler officiating. Burial will follow in the Agra Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Tues and 9:00 to 9:00 Wed at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeanette E. Molzahn Memorial Fund.
