Agra resident, Jim Robert Wilson, passed away on December 25, 2022, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.
Jim was born on November 3, 1954, to his parents Robert "Bob" and Zella (Nonamaker) Wilson, in Smith Center, KS. He lived his entire childhood as well as his young adult life in Gaylord, KS. Jim went to elementary school in Gaylord then high school in Smith Center where he graduated in 1972. He proceeded on to Goodland Votech for a year before returning to Gaylord.
Jim married his wife, Jacquelyn McCormack, on May 24, 1975 at the United Methodist Church of Agra, KS. Jim's greatest joy was being "Poppy". He loved his grandchildren with all of his heart. His all-time favorite hobby was fishing and anyone who has ever went with him has heard the all too familiar word that he yelled with every bite "JERK"!!
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Zella Wilson.
Jim is survived by his wife Jacquelyn of Agra, son Bobby Wilson and wife Holley of Klamath Falls, Oregon, daughters Rebecca Brown and husband Kavin of Oberlin, Sheena Herrick and husband Clayton of Phillipsburg, sister Loretta Meyer and husband Wayne of Smith Center, as well as eight grandchildren: Alexys Muehlenkamp, Alexis Brown, Jaylin Brown, Kiara Brown, Aleena Acheson, Mekhi Brown, JayVion Brown and Noah Wilson.
Jim will lie instate on Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Becky Saddler, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday December 30, at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.
Cremation will follow.
