Phillipsburg resident, John Clyde Lunsford, passed away on September 23, 2025, at the Phillips County Retirement Center, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, at the age of 68.

John was born on October 5, 1956, in Munich, Germany, to his parents Clyde Lunsford and Ingeborg (Kerschreiter) Lunsford-Gibson.

John was united in marriage to Carliss Reid on May 22, 2004, in Phillipsburg, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Ingeborg, and nephew Christopher Lunsford.

Survivors include wife Carliss Lunsford of Phillipsburg, Kansas, step sons Daryl Hulen of Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Josh Hulen and wife Angie of Manhattan, Kansas, step daughter Sonya Garon of Mesa, Arizona, and brother Jerry Lunsford and wife Venus of Phillipsburg, Kansas.

Cremation was planned.
