Obituary
Former Phillipsburg resident, John Mayhew, passed away Oct. 3, 2107 at his home in Wichita at the age of 96. He was born Oct. 24, 1920 in Phillipsburg, the son of Hobart & Lily Mae (VanAllen) Mayhew.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy of the home in Wichita; his son, Jerry of Wichita; 2 daughters, Linda Beckman of McPherson & Laurie Marston of Chicago, IL; 4 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 6 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Christian Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastors LeRoy Herder & Joel Hiesterman officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with military honors by Ft. Riley Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 9:00 Thursday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Veteran's Honor Flight.
