Juanita Jerby passed away Jan. 11, 2011 at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege, NE at the age of 83. She was born March 23, 1927 in Phillips Co., KS to George N. & Evea L. (Lindley) Jerby. She worked as a sales clerk at J.C. Penney's for many years before retiring.

Her hobby was enjoying her nieces & nephews, watching them grow, then watching the great nieces & nephews. In her spare time she did crocheting & sewed of which many people enjoyed her beautiful craftsmanship.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy, brother Alan "Doc" & great nephew Taegen Jerby.

She is survived by her sister, Lucille (Bill) Sanderson of Salina, sister-in-law Ginny Jerby of Phillipsburg, nephews: Mike (Sharon) LaOrange, Tracy LaOrange & Brenda Allison, Mark (Christine) Jerby & Daniel (Brandi) Jerby; nieces: Cindy (Steve) Grieve & Angie (Brian) Arment; 3 great nephews, 9 great nieces & 3 great great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 15 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Christian Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastor LeRoy Herder officiating. Burial will follow in the Stockton Cemetery, Stockton.
