Judith Lynn Bucy, daughter of Paul Brown Bucy & Vera Josephine (DuPont) Bucy, was born April 10, 1944 in McPherson, Kansas. She was welcomed by a sister, Dolores, and a brother, Dennis. Their family moved to Kirwin, Kansas when Judy was two years old. She attended school in Kirwin until her parents moved to Superior, Nebraska where her father worked for the Bureau of Reclamation. From there, they moved on to Valentine, Nebraska.

Judy lived in various homes until her father retired. When her parents returned to Kirwin, Judy came home to live with them. After her father's death in 1983 she moved to Medicine Lodge, Kansas and then to Pratt, Kansas, where she lived until 1999. She resided at Westview Homes in Phillipsburg until 2008 when she moved to the Phillips County Retirement Center.

Judy enjoyed walking and visiting with people. She was quite adept at photography and took many lovely pictures of the flower gardens around Phillipsburg.

Her parents and brother, Dennis, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister, Dolores Knowles, of Kirwin, KS and several nieces & nephews.

Cremation was planned. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
