Julia Griffin, daughter of John Amos & Rebecca Alice (Morris) Griffin, was born on a farm northwest of Logan, Kansas on July 12, 1910, the 12th child of 13, and passed away on June 16, 2010 at the Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton, Kansas at the age of 99 years.
Julia moved to Logan in 1954 and was a faithful member of the Christian Church.
In 1975 Julia retired from her job at the Norton Sanatorium, where she worked in the Dietary Department.
After retiring, she lived with her sister, Hilda Patton & husband, Glenn. After Glenn's death, she moved to Phillipsburg, Kansas and cared for her sister until 1998. Julia then moved to the Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton, Kansas.
Her hobbies included quilting, stamp collecting and keeping the family history.
Survivors include nieces & nephews, many relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan, Kansas with Pastor Leland Griffin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Donor's Choice.
