Obituary
Phillipsburg resident, Katherine E. Hoover, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg, KS at the age of 88. She was born July 7, 1923 in Phillips County, the daughter of Charlie & Bertha (Johnson) Babcock.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; son, Barry, of Burleson, TX; daughter, Rhonda Surratt, of Panhandle, TX; two brothers, Don Babcock and Terry Babcock, both of Phillipsburg; four sisters, Darlene Imm and Beverly Jarvis, both of Phillipsburg; Delores Panter of Athol, KS; and Mary Miller of Apache Junction, AZ; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation was planned. A memorial service will be held Sat., Dec. 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Christian Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Leroy Herder officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice Services or the American Cancer Society
