Logan resident Kathy "Kate" White passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, NE at the age of 67.

She was born May 6, 1954 in Concordia, KS the daughter of Laverne and Anna Mae "Susie" (Motes) Monty.

She met the love of her life Rodney White in 1968.  The couple was married on August 18, 1972 in Beloit, Kansas.  To this union two sons were born:  Rodney A., Jr. and Phillip O.

Following their marriage the couple lived in Long Island, KS until 1977 when they moved to the Beloit, KS area.  The couple finally settled in Logan in 1982 where she worked for the Logan Manor as the social and activities director for 36 years.

Kate enjoyed spending time outdoors and would jump at any chance to go camping.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with and loving on her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Rodney of the home; sons J.R. and wife Michelle of Grove, OK and Phillip of Sigurd, Utah and Phillips former wife Kim of Beaver City, NE; four grandchildren Baylee White, Brynlee Pollock, Logan White, and Grayci White; two brothers Arnold Williams and wife Bonnie of Logan and Doug Monty and wife Dee of Beloit; a half sister Mary JoAnn Ertl and husband Loren of Hope, KS; and many friends.

Kate's smile, her laugh, and her love will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Logan Christian Church with Pastor Troy Buss officiating.  The funeral services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan.

Kate will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. Monday at the Logan Funeral Home, Logan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan E.M.S. or the Kansas Heart Hospital.
