Phillipsburg resident, Kay L. Eakins, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg at the age of 73.

She was born May 19, 1948 in Lincoln, NE the daughter of Victor and Margaret Mae (Brown) Chandler.

She was a kitchen aide at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg.

Kay was united in marriage to Robert L. Eakins on June 12, 1965 in Concordia, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, and brother Ron Chandler.

Survivors include her son Sam Eakins and wife Brenda of Burr Oak, KS; brother Ken Chandler and Marta of Mankato, KS; sister Dee Engling and husband Mike of Phillipsburg, KS; four grandchildren: Amber, Lainee, Cordell, and Noah; two great grandchildren: Keegan and Kason; nieces, nephews, great nieces,and great nephews.

Cremation was planned.  A private inurnment will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia, KS.
