Obituary

Plainville resident, Laci Jade Griffin passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS at the age of 36.

She was born December 17, 1983 in Phillipsburg, KS the daughter of Monte L. and Myra C. "Micki" (Horn) Griffin.  She grew up in Logan, graduating from the Logan High School in 2002.  She then went to Johnson County Community College, then transferred to NCK Tech in Hays and earned her Nursing Degree.  She directly went to work for the DeBakey Heart Institute in Hays, until she decided to be a stay at home Mom.

She was united in marriage to Ryan Reese on June 30, 2012 in Hill City, KS.  To this union two children were born:  Stella and Rexford.  The couple later divorced.

The love of her life was her children.  She also enjoyed gardening, crafts, taking the kids to the lake and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Stella Mae Reese; 2 sons, Rexford Sawyer Reese and Fletcher Charles McQueen all of Plainville; her significant other, Cory David McQueen of Plainville; her father Monte L. Griffin of Phillipsburg; her mother Micki Griffin of Plainville; Grandparents Chuck and Mary Horn of McPherson, KS; 3 brothers, Cooper Lewis Griffin of Phillipsburg, Kaleb Scott Garcia of Plainville and Kayden Charles Garcia of McPherson; 3 sisters, Shelby Ann Griffin and significant other Austin Garrison of Logan, Mollie Mae Griffin of Phillipsburg and Mindy Louise Casto of Breckenridge, TX; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Private family services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4 th in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Troy Buss officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.  The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.

Laci will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. Friday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Her Children's Education Fund.
