Obituary
Phillipsburg resident, Larry Leslie Burns, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE at the age of 77.
Larry was born October 6, 1936 in Reamsville, KS the son of Leslie & Julia (Ernst) Burns. He retired as Head Serviceman from KN Energy.
Survivors include two sons, Kent "Joe" & wife, Beth and Blake & wife, Lorri, all of Kensington, KS and daughter, Lara Jansonius & husband, Glenn of Phillipsburg; brother Lee Burns of Sioux City, SD; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
Preceding him in death was his parents; a brother, Harold; sister, Violet Burns; a son, Shane Burns; and grandson, Maleki Shane Jansonius.
Cremation was planned. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18th, 2014 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating.
Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Unit 15 at KU Medical Center or to Boys Town.
