Phillips County resident, Leland W. McGuire, passed away Jan 4, 2025 in Jewell county as a result of an automobile accident at the age of 20.  He was born Feb. 23, 2004, the son of Eddy & Genelyn (Esteller) McGuire.

Survivors include his father Eddy of rural Phillipsburg; his mother Genelyn of Lincoln, NE; his brother Zeke of Lincoln, NE and two sisters, Althea of Summerville, NC and Edilyn of Lincoln, NE.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with Richard Cox officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.  Burial will follow in the Plum Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Saturday and noon to 9:00 Sunday with the family receiving friends from 3:00 to 4:00 Sunday at the funeral home.
