IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda
Blubaugh
August 22, 1945 – June 18, 2024
Phillipsburg resident, Linda Blubaugh, passed away on June 18, 2024, at the Phillips County Hospital, in Phillipsburg, Kansas at the age of 78.
Linda was born on August 22, 1945, in Phillips County, Kansas, to her parents Lewis and Lois (Jaenicke) Krouse.
She was united in marriage to Dan Blubaugh on October 15, 1966, in the St. John's Catholic Church in Logan, Kansas.
Linda liked working at the Grocery Store in Logan prior to Dan and her marriage then later she worked at Tom's Corner, First Stop and finally Alta. Everyone that came into the store while she was working enjoyed her.
Linda was very proud to be the parent of Troy Blubaugh who was born on August 11, 1967.
She gained a lot of friends during her bowling years of which Linda went to State every year and then went on to Nationals three times. She went to Oklahoma City, Las Vegas and Topeka for the National competitions.
There were a couple of years that she was a regular fishing companion with Dan. There are some pictures of her holding up some nice fish.
Linda loved her Sunday trips out to the farm with her Mom. Her Mom asked to go out and pick a head or two of either Wheat or Milo so she could take a good look at them. That was great until the time that Linda saw a snake and I guess it took quite a bit of convincing by her Mother before she went to pick them again. She liked to go camping and just being in her camper. While out on those excursions she would go garage sale-ing. She always liked a great bargain.
Linda greatly enjoyed her visits with Troy there in Beloit.
She was a huge Elvis fan! She loved to go to see the Elvis look alike concerts. Linda was also a clock aficionado. She had one clock that crowed like a rooster that she loved to tease people about. Linda was a true artist with her needle point and cross stitch. She made many beautiful kitchen towels and some gorgeous pictures. She was always up for a game of cards and Linda was a very spirited player. Dan and Linda were known for going to dances around the area and they would take over the dance floor. She loved 50's and 60's music.
Linda's favorite color was blue. It didn't seem to matter light or dark just as long as it was blue.
She enjoyed traveling until her neck started hurting her so bad.
When she ended up going to Wichita the nurses that worked on her had blue gloves on. She liked the color so well that she had them help her to get a pair of those on. It took some doing but between the nursing staff and Linda they did get them on her hands.
Linda loved spending time with her Mom. Her one piece of advice that she shared with the people she loved was that you should take time to enjoy your Mom and your Dad.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Lois Krouse, and Brother Dennis Krouse.
