Almena resident, Linda Lea Covington, passed away on October 18, 2026, at CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 88.

Linda was born on November 28, 1937, in Rural Norton County, Kansas, to her parents Jasper and Gay (Altman) Snodgrass.

Linda was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Covington on November 21, 1959, at the Norton Christian Church, in Norton, Kansas.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Jasper and Gay Snodgrass, infant daughter Debra, brother Melvin Snodgrass, brother-in-law Herbie Leiker, sister Wanda Snodgrass, sisters-in-law Carol Hrabe and Kay Koehler, and son-in-law Ray Dreher.

Survivors include husband Bob Covington of Almena, Kansas, sons JB Covington and wife Judy of Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Robbie Covington and wife Nicole of Rogers, Arkansas, daughters Jamie Dreher of Norton, Kansas, and Julie Hilburn of Almena, Kansas, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, sister Glenda Bland, and brother-in-law Don Covington and wife Dixie of Galva, Kansas.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, with Darel Boston and Chris Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, in Almena, Kansas.

Friends and relatives may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, with the family receiving friends for a visitation Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, in Phillipsburg, Kansas.
