Lois O. Dietz, daughter of Arthur E. Flowers and Elizabeth D. (Noel) Flowers, was born March 4, 1914 on a farm north of Logan, Kansas in Phillips County. She passed away September 12, 2016 at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas at the age of 102.
She attended country schools near Lenora, Kansas and then Lenora High School for two years, having to drop out for two years before graduating from Logan High School.
Lois married Blaine G. McNulty and the couple was blessed with a daughter, Joyce, and a son, James. Blaine died serving his country during World War II.
Lois later married Howard H. Dietz.
Besides being a wife and mother, Lois served as the Lenora City Clerk for several years and then as the Postmaster for Lenora, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce McNulty Scott of Lenora, KS; her son, James McNulty & wife, Linda, of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren: Michelle Forsman & husband, John, of Albuquerque, NM, Daniel Scott & wife, Kate, of Mesa, AZ and Jason McNulty of Miami, FL; and a great-granddaughter, Halli Forsman of Bellingham, WA.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 16 at 2:30 p.m. in the Lenora South Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to the United Parish Church or the Lenora Senior Center.
