Phillipsburg resident, Lola M. Kline, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS at the age of 96.
She was born in Cozad, NE on February 22, 1921, the daughter of Willey & Rose (Shadduck) Brant.
Lola was united in marriage to Wm. A. Kline on Dec. 7, 1941 in Beloit, KS. Shortly following their marriage, Bill was called into service, during WWII. Upon his return they relocated to Phillipsburg. Lola was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as children's Sunday School Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bud Brant; husband, Bill in 1981; & son-in-law, Steve Bruning in 2015.
Survivors include her son, Bill Kline & wife, Loretta of Phillipsburg, KS; daughters, Jean Bruning of Phillipsburg and Roxie Walbridge of Grove, OK; 6 grandchildren, Dawnita Reese, Stephanie Penttila, Becky Reed, Bobby Kline, David Walbridge, Danny Walbridge; 8 great-grandchildren, Bob, Mike, Chris, Jace, Nick, Damon, Harley & Charley; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Delphos Cemetery in Delphos, KS.
Mrs. Kline will lie in-state on Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 26 & 27, from noon – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Lola M. Kline Memorial Fund, to be designated at a later time.
