Obituary

Lonnie Lynn Kellerman was born on November 27, 1955 in Phillipsburg, KS to Norman and Lois (Stutterheim) Kellerman. He grew up in the German community of Stuttgart, KS in the same house his entire childhood, with his siblings Tammy, Danny, Tim. Growing up in Stuttgart, Lonnie helped his father Norman at Stuttgart Oil doing whatever needed done. Hard work was instilled at an early age and was something Lonnie continued his entire life. It was during these years he also found a love for motorcycles. He attended school in Stuttgart until 8th grade when he began school in Phillipsburg.

In 1973, Lonnie graduated from Phillipsburg High School and headed to Goodland Vo-tech studying diesel mechanics for two years and returned to Phillipsburg to work at John Deere. While in Phillipsburg, Lonnie met his future wife, Catherine Horner who he married on April 8th, 1978. On November 30, 1981, Lonnie was hired by Norton/Decatur, which is now Prairie Land Electric, as an apprentice lineman. While in Phillipsburg, Lonnie and his family spent time at the lake camping, boating, and all other time was dedicated to coaching the BEI softball girls.

In January 1986, Lonnie was promoted and moved his family to Norton as area lead lineman. In 1987, he became the bucket truck foreman. Lonnie spent his years in Norton coaching his two sons in all sports as well as coaching the women's Uptown Pizza Hut softball team. Again, all other time was dedicated to the lake- boating and camping with family and friends.

In 2006, Lonnie moved to Stockton and worked as the area foreman. To say Lonnie loved his job would be an understatement. Lonnie was fortunate to have worked for the same company up to the day he passed on July 22, 2014. This job did not define him, but he defined the job. Dedicated, trustworthy, hard-working, and meticulous are just a few words to describe him. One thing was for sure, you could always count on L.K. for a job well done. He will continue to smile down on all of us as he spends eternity with past family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Lois, of Stuttgart, KS; wife, Cathy of Stockton/Baldwin City, KS; sons, Shane and wife Elece of Lee's Summit, MO, & Josh and wife Lacy of Baldwin City, KS; grandchildren, Finnley, Max, McCain, and Ridge; a sister Tammy Stecklein of Hays, KS; and two brothers, Tim of Richmond, MO and Dan of Lawrence, KS.
